AZ-900T00: is a one-day Azure Fundamentals class worth paying for?

Usually not, if you are paying. AZ-900T00 is Microsoft's one-day beginner course for the AZ-900 exam, which Microsoft Learn now titles Introduction to Cloud Infrastructure. In November 2026, a live seat plus the $99 exam cost $594 to $895 at the 3 US providers we confirmed, while the same content is free as three self-paced learning paths on Microsoft Learn. A class makes sense when an employer pays and wants a group done in a day, or when you learn far better with an instructor.

Who sells the AZ-900 class, and for how much

Published US public-seat prices for the one-day AZ-900T00 class, read November 5, 2026, sorted by total with the exam. Where the voucher is not included, the $99 exam fee is added.

Course names differ: New Horizons still calls it Microsoft Azure Fundamentals; ONLC and Learning Tree use Microsoft's newer title. Only New Horizons shows the AZ-900T00 code on its page; Learning Tree states it uses Microsoft Official Course content, and ONLC states neither. A one-day class at these prices costs five to nine times the exam itself.

What one day covers

Microsoft sets the course at beginner level for people just starting with Azure and lists no prerequisites or scripting. Microsoft Learn splits it into three learning paths, and the AZ-900 exam tests three areas: cloud concepts, Azure architecture and services, and Azure management and governance. In our view one day is enough to see every topic once but leaves little hands-on time, so take Microsoft's free Practice Assessment before you book the exam.

Skip AZ-900 altogether?

Microsoft does not require AZ-900 before AZ-104 or any associate exam. If you already work in IT and your goal is administering Azure, go straight to the AZ-104T00 course or its free paths. Microsoft writes the course for IT staff just beginning with Azure; in our view AZ-900 also earns its place for people in sales, finance, project or support roles who need the vocabulary, and as a cheap first exam. It does not expire.
